September 23, 2011
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Wildwood Property Owners Association was called to order at 6:30 p.m., September 23, 2011, in the Mill House. The presiding officer was Scott Becker. A quorum was present, including the following:
Joel Allen, Letha Carpenter, Jim Horn and Drue McManus.
Chairman, Scott Becker, called the meeting to order.
Tommy Watkins gave the opening prayer and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman, Scott Becker, requested a motion pertaining to HOA Law Firms. A motion was made by Jim Horn, and seconded by Drue McManus, to schedule a special meeting to discuss the HOA Law Firms that were previously interviewed to incorporate the new HOA Laws into the WPOA Property Owner’s Manual. Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
Chairman, Scott Becker, reported that Donald Williamson has been acting as the Maintenance Supervisor and at this time the Board elected Donald Williamson to replace Calvin Cryer for that position. Calvin Cryer was commended for the years of dedication and superior service he gave to Wildwood.
Vice Chairman, Jim Horn, requested any additions or corrections to the minutes of the meeting on August 26, 2011. A motion was made by Drue McManus, and seconded by Joel Allen, to accept the minutes as presented. Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
Carla McKee gave the Facilities Manager’s Report.

Miscellaneous Reports:
Richard Cockrell gave the Golf Pro Shop Report.
Ashley Tipton gave the Security Report.
Architectural Control Ad Hoc Committee Leslie Laroe, reported the committee has suspended meeting until the new HOA Laws have been incorporated into the WPOA Property Owner’s Manual.
Mill House Restaurant Ad Hoc Committee Wendy McDonald, reported the committee met with the Board and have finalized their meetings.
Facility Maintenance, Golf Maintenance, Fire Department and Property Owner’s Manual Research Committee had no report.
Standing Committee Reports:
Architectural Control Committee- Carla McKee, reported the committee received 7 building submissions for the month of August with 5 approved, 1 pending Lakes Committee approval and 1 rejected. There were 4 home sales and all were approved. There were 2 members of the Architectural Control Committee, Bill Saylor and Wanda Hutchison who have resigned.
Budget & Finance Committee Kathy Attaway, reported the committee met and is working on the 2012 Budget Draft. The committee will present a Community Budget Workshop on Saturday, October 15th, at 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 18th, at 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to discuss the Budget and encouraged everyone to attend.
Lakes Dale Attaway, reported the lake treatment has been completed for the year and reminded property owners that live on the lake to do repairs on their docks while the lake is down.
Nominating Chairman, Tommy Watkins, reported the committee will be seeking two candidates to fill the vacancies on the Architectural Control Committee left open by the resignation of Bill Saylor and Wanda Hutchison. Anyone interested in serving on this committee should submit their resumes to the Nominating Committee by October 17th.
Election Committee had no report.
