Miscellaneous Reports:
Facility Maintenance Report - Calvin Cryer, reported on December 12, 2009, the #3 Well was shut down due to approximately 50 yards of sand found in the holding tank. Holmes Water Well Service was called and it was decided to run a camera into the well to determine the problem. After spending approximately $17,000 they were unable to repair the well as needed. Three different Drilling Companies were then contacted and given a DVD of the well to study. Russell Drilling Co. discussed options with the Board of Directors and gave a quote on reworking the existing well. John Pyburn from Brazoria County reviewed the film and after reviewing chose not to make a bid. Mr. Pyburn then referred us to Layne Christensen Company, the largest well drilling company in the U.S. This company reviewed the film of the well and is of the opinion that there is a significant risk in attempting to work-over this well, due to a large amount of money being spent with no results.
Aaron Cox gave the Golf Maintenance Report.
Richard Cockrell gave the Golf Pro Shop Report.
Ashley Tipton gave the Security Report.
Fire Department & Fire Chief, Randy Odom reported on Grants received from the Texas Forest Service. The Fire Department purchased ten sets of bunker gear and a brush truck that will be delivered on February 28th.
